The Marcel is a woven dress and tank top that is fitted through the high bust and loose through the bust, waist and hips.
There are two dress views: View A is midi length and View B is mini length. View C is a tank top that ends at the high hip.
Sewing Level: Intermediate
Sizing: Approx. UK 8 – 28 (US 0 - 30) . Use the high bust and full bust measurements to determine your size. If you fall between sizes, size down.
This pattern includes two bust cup options, and the cup size is determined by calculating the difference between the high and full bust. If the difference between your high bust and full bust is between 0” and 2” (5 cm) use the A/B cup. If the difference is between 2” (5 cm) and 4” (10 cm) use the C/D cup. If you have more than a 4” (10 cm) difference, you may need a full bust adjustment.
Fabrics: Woven
Light to medium weight woven fabric with a nice drape. Rayon challis, rayon crepe, rayon voile, cotton lawn, cotton voile, cotton shirting, linen, double gauze.
Fabric Requirements: See images for fabric measurements. A minimum fabric width of 54″ is required for View A (midi dress).
